About the event

A fun afternoon of a walkfit class through the orchard, followed by a cider at Carlisle Cider Co, and a 30 min stretch to finish it off. Walkfit-Great combo of walk with some added beginner exercises along the way.  Finish our walkfit portion  and head to Cider house for some delicious cider of your choice(a full can). Then will  finish off with a relaxing stretch in the grass and hopefully sunshine. Please bring a mat or you are free to stretch directly on the grass. About the venue: Carlisle Cider Co. We are proud of our farm, our heritage and family grown apples for our ciders! The farm was started by Joe and Dini VanderMarel through hard work and dedication. Joe came to Canada in 1950 and Dini in 1952 from the Netherlands. They met in Toronto and married in 1957. They started small, with rented apple orchards around Clarkson, Ontario and were soon growing some of the best fruit around town. In 1968, they bought the farm in Carlisle, originally started in 1904, where they built their family home and raised four kids that have all worked on the farm. Operating as one of Ontario's most renown apple farms and packers, this third generation has looked to expand its offering, while never losing sight of quality, integrity, and community. 19+ event. What to Bring: Small backpack(optional) Water Snack(optional) Bug spray(optional) Sunglasses(optional) Runners or hiking shoe Yoga mat(optional, but recommended) Small towel(optional) Hike poles (not required but feel free to use them if you have them) Introducing your hosts: Brittany Berezowski, BASc, SSW, CPT (NASM)

Kaley Metler, CPT, Sports Nutrition III:

Certified Personal Trainer, Sports Nutritionist,  Group Fitness Coach, Mom & Duck & Chicken Owner

I love love being outdoors. I grew up on a family farm & ranch in Arizona and my passion is bring a more active lifestyle into our families.  I have a fun easy going spirit and love to encourage the family aspect of training.

I focus a lot on mobility and ensuring we all learn how to move all of our joints for better range of motion and less injury. I love teaching in many areas and first and foremost teach core engagement. I am versed in teaching these types of classes: learn to run programs, pilates, aquafit, bootcamp, piyo, HIIT, kickboxing, office exercises for better posture, and really enjoy working with those over 50. I have a great connection with them and I find they are not always looking for the newest fad on social media feed and are very loyal :) I love teaching barefoot in a nature setting as I feel we all need to escape the digital world we are in and learn to develop all the great muscles in our feet.

For mindful eating(nutrition), my journey has been on a steady incline to BETTER I would say. First 15 yrs of my working career was in field engineering for Schlumberger and then GE. On the go style eating(eating out more than I was eating home cooked food but I did take along a lot of cans of tuna lol. I recall a coworker once telling me a style of eating he was doing, which was basically anti inflammatory. I had my food sensitivity test done by a naturopath and it was smooth sailing if I ate according to it and not over eat(especially in particular carb area). I am fascinated how the body can be so healthy by our food choices. I am now getting my diploma in Sports Nutrition so I can help my clients even more :)
